General availability

Briesa is out of beta. WHS, governance, risk and ISO modules ship together, with SSO, audit logging and Australian data residency on every plan. Nothing in the compliance story is an upsell — the tiers differ on size, not on whether your records are defensible.

Insights dashboards

Live compliance-status, KPI and trend dashboards across every site, with scheduled PDF reports for boards and regulators. The data was already in the system; this release made it answer questions.

  • Status at a glance: one board shows which sites are current, which are drifting and what is overdue, across the whole business.
  • Trends, not just totals: incident, inspection and sign-off rates are plotted over time, so a bad month is visible as a direction rather than a number.
  • Scheduled reporting: a PDF goes out on a schedule to the people who ask for it monthly, built from the same records the dashboard reads.

  • Dashboards can be scoped to a site, a region or the whole organisation.
  • Every figure links through to the records behind it.
  • Reports carry the generation date and the period they cover.

Contractor management

Onboard contractors with competency checks, induction tracking and expiry reminders — unlimited field workers on every tier. The people doing the work are never the ones you pay per seat for.

  • Onboarding that ends in a record: a contractor is invited, completes their induction, and arrives on site already on the register.
  • Competencies with expiry dates: licences, tickets and insurances carry their expiry, and the reminder goes out before the certificate lapses, not after.
  • Unlimited field workers: every tier includes unlimited workers, contractors and visitors, so onboarding the whole crew never changes the bill.

Other improvements

  • Contractor companies group their workers, so a subbie's compliance is one view.
  • Induction content can differ per site while the record stays central.
  • Expired competencies flag against the jobs that require them.

Fixes

  • Reminder emails now respect the organisation's timezone.

Prestart & toolbox talks

Mobile prestart checks, SWMS sign-off and toolbox talks that sync straight into the risk register from any site. This is the release that put Briesa in the crew's hands rather than only on the safety manager's desk.

  • Prestart from the phone: the daily check runs on a handset in the weather, works with one hand, and files itself against the site and the date.
  • SWMS sign-off at the gate: crew read the SWMS and sign for it on their own device, and the register knows who has signed and who has not.
  • Toolbox talks with a record: run a talk from a template, capture attendance by signature, and keep the notes with the talk for the audit.

Other improvements

  • Anything captured on site lands in the risk register without a second entry.
  • Attendance and sign-off gaps are visible per site, not buried in a report.
  • Talks and prestarts can be scheduled ahead and repeated weekly.

Risk register

A unified risk register with assessments, treatments and residual scoring, mapped to controls and obligations. One register covers the whole business, rather than a spreadsheet per site that no one reconciles.

  • Assess once, score twice: every risk carries an inherent and a residual score, so the treatments you have actually applied are visible in the number.
  • Treatments own their controls: a treatment names the control that delivers it, and the control names the obligation it satisfies — the chain holds from the register to the standard.
  • Site and business risk in one place: a hazard raised on site rolls up into the same register the board reviews, without being re-entered.

Other improvements

  • Risks can be filtered by site, category, owner and review date.
  • Overdue reviews surface on the register rather than waiting to be found.
  • Incidents raised against an existing risk link back to it automatically.

Fixes

  • Scoring matrices no longer round inconsistently between the register and exports.

Private beta

The first Briesa build lands with WHS incidents, inspections and controlled documents for design-partner sites. It is the smallest version of the system that a real site can run a week on, and it is already the one place the record lives.

  • Incidents, end to end: report an incident from the phone at the gate, assign the actions it generates, and close it out against evidence rather than a promise.
  • Inspections that leave a record: run a site inspection off a template, capture photos inline, and file the result against the site and the job it belongs to.
  • Controlled documents: SWMS, policies and procedures carry a version, an owner and a review date, so the copy on site is provably the current one.

Other improvements

  • Sites, jobs and crews are modelled from the start, so nothing has to be re-keyed later.
  • Every record keeps an append-only history — who changed what, and when.
  • Invited users land straight in their organisation with the right role.

Fixes

  • Design-partner feedback closed a long list of smaller issues across reporting and sign-off.
